This position is offered remote IN COLORADO ONLY or onsite at any branch with available space.

General Purpose

The Agricultural & Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing, examining, and evaluating credit data and financial statements, and preparing detailed credit narratives that are used by the Lenders and various levels of Management to determine whether to extend credit, to set loan terms, and to manage risk for the Bank.

Analyze commercial and agricultural loan requests by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, production histories, collateral values, credit information, and repayment capacity to determine feasibility of granting credit.

Apply financial accounting principles to independently analyze credit relationships, determine cash flow, and generate financial ratios that evaluate the customer’s financial condition.

Prepare credit presentations, analyses, summaries, and narrative reports to support sound loan structure and credit decisioning.

Complete annual reviews by analyzing updated financial information, collateral, covenant compliance, and overall credit quality to support ongoing risk assessment and loan servicing.

Assist with covenant tracking, loan exceptions monitoring, and follow‑up on required financial reporting.

Support loan renewals, modifications, and annual review processes by gathering documentation and updating credit files.

Support internal audits, loan reviews, and regulatory examinations by preparing accurate and timely credit information.

Accounting background or minimum of 2 years of agricultural credit analysis.

Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Business, Finance and Accounting or two or more years of agricultural credit analysis, commercial lending, agricultural lending, or related banking experience preferred.

Relevant coursework or training in accounting, agricultural economics, finance, or business analysis is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Industry Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify credit strengths, weaknesses, and emerging risks.

Ability to interpret financial statements, tax returns, and borrowing base information and present findings clearly to lenders and management.

Knowledge of agricultural lending practices, farm operating cycles, and collateral considerations related to crops, livestock, equipment, and real estate.

Knowledge of the terms and vocabulary associated with loan documents.

Working knowledge of credit underwriting, loan policy, financial statement spreading, and applicable banking regulations and compliance requirements.

General knowledge of all bank products and services.
