Senior Zoning Inspector

General Purpose

Join our team as a Zoning Inspector! The City is seeking a Zoning Inspector to play a key role in enforcing zoning and land use codes that keep our neighborhoods safe, organized, and thriving. In this specialized technical position, you’ll provide expert guidance on zoning regulations, conduct field inspections, issue citations, and collaborate across departments to ensure compliance. The hiring range is $31.17 - $34.64 / Hourly. Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.

• Associate degree in architecture, planning, building sciences, construction management, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in interpreting, enforcing, and administering codes and zoning ordinances. Each year of required education may be substituted with two additional years of directly related experience.
• Must have or obtain International Code Council (ICC)/American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE) Zoning Inspector certification within six months from date of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
