In this role, you’ll manage impactful programs, oversee grants, and collaborate with city departments, local organizations, and stakeholders to create thriving, connected neighborhoods.
The Community Programs & Projects Coordinator is responsible for the administration, oversight, and compliance of community development projects, grants, and city‑sponsored programs designed to improve neighborhood conditions and public services. This includes managing the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and overseeing departmental community initiatives such as Snow Guardians, Day of Service, Yard of the Month, Free Graffiti Removal, Code Compliance Assistance, and National Good Neighbor Day.
This role collaborates with city departments, local governments, community organizations, and stakeholders to drive impactful programs, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and implement strategic initiatives. The Coordinator performs all aspects of program and project management, including planning, organizing, budgeting, and reporting. Duties include reviewing applications, conducting outreach, tracking expenditures, monitoring compliance, and ensuring successful delivery of community programs and resources.
Hiring SalaryHiring salary is dependent upon experience.
Hiring Range $79,597.01 - $88,421.13 / Annually

- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, public administration, planning, real estate, community development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in community development, grant administration, housing, or related areas.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
