General Purpose
Commerce City seeks a dynamic Housing Planner to coordinate innovative, affordable housing initiatives that align with City Council's goals. This grant-funded position is key in advancing housing affordability by implementing affordable housing projects, managing housing grant programs, and developing partnerships with housing providers and developers. The Housing Planner will create and oversee affordability policies, analyze housing opportunities, pursue funding sources, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and success in meeting the City's housing needs.

This position is 100% grant-funded through October 2027.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
Hiring range is $91,854.11 - $ annually.

Minimum Qualifications- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, real estate finance, public administration, planning or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of demonstrated experience with housing and community development and/or multifamily real estate development is preferred, including project financing; market analysis; deal structuring; and financial analysis.
- Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: A valid CO driver’s license.
