Urgent Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner | Thornton

Next Care Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team in Thornton, Colorado
.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with Next Care clinical standards and values

• Active, unrestricted Colorado license (PA or NP)
• Board certification as applicable:
• PA: NCCPA certification
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
• Active DEA (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to treat all age groups (infant through geriatric)
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
• Strong procedural skills (ex: suturing, splinting, wound care)
• Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
