What You'll Do

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll help patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform everyday activities following illness, injury, or disability. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans that enhance patients' quality of life.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, mobility, and functional independence
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Follow facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements

Specific responsibilities may vary by employer and practice setting.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Canadian Occupational Therapist registration/licensure
  • Eligible for (or willing to obtain) U.S. state Occupational Therapy licensure
  • Eligible for (or willing to obtain) a Visa Screen Certificate, if required
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for helping patients achieve greater independence and quality of life
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply. While some positions require prior experience, many of our healthcare partners welcome newly graduated Occupational Therapists.
