About the Role
Harmonie House is seeking In-Home Caregivers to support individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, values meaningful work, and wants a flexible schedule.
Many shifts focus on homemaker support, companionship, and life-skills. Some clients may also require personal care assistance, depending on their individual service plans. Paid training is provided.
What You’ll Do
Homemaker, Life-Skills, and Companionship Support
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and simple meal preparation
- Support daily routines and independent living skills
- Provide companionship and positive social interaction
- Assist with errands, appointments, and community activities
Personal Care Support (as needed; varies by client)
- Provide personal care assistance according to individual service plans
- Support client safety, comfort, and dignity
- Paid training is provided, and not all clients require personal care
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Compassion, reliability, and willingness to learn
No prior caregiving experience required. Paid training is provided.
Preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or prior caregiving experience
Schedule and Location
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Flexible scheduling, Monday through Saturday
- Some evening shifts may be available
- Travel between client homes within your local area
Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist with mobility as needed
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Comfortable working in active home environments
