Overview

Director, Learning & Development s role focuses on leadership development and the strategic direction and execution of global leadership and high-potential development programs. The position is responsible for building a robust, diverse talent pipeline and driving cultural transformation. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the GVP of Global Talent Enablement.

What You’ll Do
  • Global Leadership Strategy & Design (40%)
    • Define the Leadership Architecture: design, implement, and govern a globally consistent Leadership Competency Framework for all management levels.
    • Flagship Program Ownership: own strategy, curriculum design, and delivery model for leadership programs, including HiPo identification and Executive Readiness.
    • Cultural Integration: partner with HR to embed inclusive leadership practices, cross-cultural competence, and global mindset development.
    • Vendor Management: select and manage external vendors to deliver scalable and impactful content across regions.
  • Capability & Bench Strength Development (35%)
    • Succession Planning Alignment: partner with HR and senior leadership to align development with workforce plan and succession gaps.
    • Executive Coaching Strategy: manage policy and pool of coaches; align coaching goals with performance objectives.
    • Global Scalability: design initiatives deployable across regions using blended learning (virtual, in-person, micro-learning).
    • Content Innovation: drive adoption of modern learning technologies including AI-enabled coaching and personalized learning journeys.
  • Measurement, Governance, and Reporting (25%)
    • Impact Measurement: establish metrics and evaluation methodologies to demonstrate impact and ROI of leadership programs.
    • Talent Analytics: use performance reviews, 360 feedback, engagement surveys, and attrition data to diagnose capability gaps and guide strategy.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s preferred (OR MBA).
  • 10+ years in Talent Management, L&D, or Organizational Development with at least 5 years leading global functions or large teams.
  • Expertise in design, implementation, and evaluation of senior-level Leadership Development in global, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; ability to translate strategy into talent initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management with executives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to influence across levels.
  • Ability to work independently and with global P&C teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management; ability to juggle priorities.
  • Culturally sensitive; experience in multinational environments.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Coaching certification (e.g., ICF, Marshall Goldsmith) preferred.
  • Proficiency with Talent Management platforms (e.g., Workday, Success Factors) and LMS.
  • Experience with competency/assessment tools (e.g., Korn Ferry, Hogan, MBTI) and leadership tools (e.g., Covey).
  • Experience with automation and AI tools.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, compensation is determined by several factors including background and experience. The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $187,000 and may be eligible for discretionary incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
