Senior Buyer​/Planner

Compri Consulting is searching for a Sr. Buyer/Planner for a direct hire position based in Boulder, Colorado. This is an onsite role.

At this time, only candidates local to Denver/Boulder area will be considered.

This position will manage both production planning and strategic procurement within a manufacturing environment. This person will be responsible for balancing demand forecasts, inventory levels, supplier performance, and material availability to support production goals and customer commitments.

• Create and maintain forecasts and master production schedules.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and improve planning processes.
• Negotiate pricing and manage purchase orders.
• Expedite or de-expedite shipments based on supply and demand changes.
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships.
• Evaluate suppliers on delivery, quality, responsiveness, and capacity.
• Identify capacity constraints and material shortages before they affect production.
• Manage inventory levels and reduce excess, aging, and obsolete inventory.
• Improve inventory turns while maintaining service levels.
• Partner with Product, Operations, and Finance on demand and supply planning.
• Source components and services from new and existing suppliers.
• Reduce single-source supplier risk where possible.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers.
• Develop sourcing and inventory strategies for critical materials.
• Monitor market conditions, shortages, and geopolitical risks that could impact supply.

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, buying, planning, or a related function within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with MRP systems

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPM or APICS / Certified Supply Chain Professional certification preferred.
