CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift Nights

Job Description

Primus Aerospace is currently seeking CNC Machinists to work at our Lakewood facility. We are looking for a skilled machinist for our 2nd shift nights (Monday - Thursday 4pm to 4:30am).

Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs / Primes & Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high‑tolerance, complex geometry parts; machined out of standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop) to provide components to mission‑critical civilian and defense programs.

• Operate CNC machines based on provided work instructions from a work order or set‑up personnel
• Verify dimensional characteristics of parts
• Meet expected cycle times and production schedule
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
• Previous CNC operator experience: mill, turn, and lathe
• GD&T print reading
• Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and metrology
• Can perform machine set‑ups, which is a plus
• Can place vices and coordinate x, y, z axes
• Knowledge of machining principles

• Previous CNC operator experience; minimum of 4 years
• Previous set‑up experience; minimum of 1 year
• Reading blueprints and using hand tools
• Prioritizing tasks and maintaining production goals
• Self‑starter with a good attitude
• Attention to detail and a strong desire to produce quality products
• Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean manufacturing techniques is preferred
• Previous experience in aerospace or defense machining environment preferred
• Ability to obtain secret security clearance highly desirable

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/hour, plus 10% shift differential
