Overview
Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care, has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Registered Nurse in Lakewood.

Salary Range: $36.00–$46.00 per hour.

Ongoing OCN certification holders are eligible for OCN Incentive Pay after 90 days of employment or upon obtaining certification.
Responsibilities- Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Maintains knowledge of drug reimbursement procedures and completes all chemotherapy charge forms.
- Assures pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies.
- Demonstrates knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use and maintenance, cleans pumps after use, and documents pump usage.
- Facilitates dose modification by assessing patient, labs, consulting protocols or treatment plans, calculating dose, and consulting physicians regarding dosage modifications, including problem and symptom management.
- Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central line catheter devices.
- Administers all medications using correct product, dosage, route, time, and technique.
- Displays appropriate technical skills for chemotherapy administration, including venipuncture, central line access and infusion devices, programming portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery, and provides instruction to the patient and/or caregiver for home pump use.
- Documents nursing assessments, patient teaching, fluid and medication administration in the patient chart.
- Communicates all pertinent information and interventions to the physician.
- Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient chart.
- Assesses patient and family needs and provides teaching and instructional material.
Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
Hold an RN state license and be currently registered with the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice.
Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and continuing education requirements.
Minimum two years of nursing experience required; oncology experience is preferred.

Physical requirements include full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, occasionally lifting items up to 40 lbs, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
All qualified candidates must pass a background check and a non‑federal drug test (excluding marijuana) after offer of employment and prior to hire.
