Responsibilities
- Determine donor eligibility, including obtaining informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions during the facility visit and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues, ensuring donor safety and eligibility compliance.
- Support employee hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs.
- Manage employee incidents, determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and follow Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats in the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate‑level nursing program with state licensing requirements.
- Licensed LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Completed state‑required basic IV therapy training.
- Successfully completed FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $28.16 – $38.72
