Job Description
Bio Life Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The position involves determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. It operates under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician for medical issues, with adherence to industry regulations and Bio Life Medical Affairs guidance.

Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs, follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, develop Center Physician standing orders, and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings, donor safety, and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation, referring to occupational health or EHS guidance.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Current licensing/certification in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range$38.72 – $53.24 (dependent on qualification, experience, skills, education, certifications, location, and applicable minimum wage requirements).
