RN Med Surg Unit

Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.50 - $53.25 / hour

As a registered nurse in the Med Surg unit, you will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with department requirements and state standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, advocate for patients, and help shape patient outcomes and nursing practice.

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient’s medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action if an unintended response occurs.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) credential in Colorado DORA or Multi‑State.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 6 months RN experience.
