Role Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse – Float Pool to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care across multiple hospital units within our Colorado-based, nonprofit health system. In this role, you’ll provide evidence-based nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate treatment plans in a variety of clinical settings. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, adapt quickly to diverse patient needs, and support a culture of innovation, diversity, and continuous improvement.

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care across multiple units as part of the float pool
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy, per provider orders
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Adapt quickly to diverse clinical environments and patient populations
• Uphold infection prevention, safety, and quality standards

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred/required based on unit
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred for applicable units
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred for applicable units
