Overview
RN - ICU (Intensive Care Unit) travel assignment. Onsite contract starting 8/17/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly base pay plus stipends: $1,470 weekly stipend and $545.76 weekly base pay or $15.16/hour equivalent. Night shift, 12 hours per day, 3 days per week.
Location:
HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge ICU (Floor 1 & 2; two pods).
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients, including neuro surgical, trauma, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and patients requiring ventilation.
- Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and established care plans; collaborate with intensivists who are on site 24/7.
- Utilize equipment and technology such as Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, and Sub Zero systems as applicable.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; participate in patient- and family-centered care; support team flexibility during variable census and acuity.
- Assist with activity coordination, including caring for multiple ICU patients (typical ratios may be 1:2, and can vary to 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity).
- Follow policies and guidelines, and provide information requested by candidates or staff about unit operations as needed.
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience.
- Candidates with the stated critical care skills or credentials will be prioritized.
- Ability to work night shifts; flexibility to jump in and support the team as needed.
- Pod A: recently expanded; 12 beds. Pod B: 16 beds on the second floor.
- Critical care tech staffed 6 days a week (0900–2100).
- Ratio estimates are not guaranteed and depend on census/acuity.
- New ICU expansion increases capacity to care for up to 28 ICU patients. Intensivists available 24/7.
HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge average census ranges from 100–125. The unit is staffed by a diverse group with extensive experience, including long-tenured nurses. Equipment and technology enhancements are in place to support patient care and staff development.
