Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.50 - $55.25 / hour

Schedule: Full-time, 3 12‑hour shifts per week. Expected shift: 3pm‑3am.

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the Emergency Room department in accordance with the scope and standards of practice. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
• Taught patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, side effects, follow‑up measures, lifestyle changes, and self‑management.

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
• AHA or ARC‑BCLS, AHA or ARC‑ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required. Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCRISIS) required.
• 30‑day grace period from hire date for BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NVCRISIS.
• ENPC preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN desirable.
• 1–2 years acute care experience. ED or other critical care/specialty nursing strongly preferred.
