Compensation Pay Range: $15.16 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Role OverviewThe Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. The Assistant Manager will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or working opposing shifts, and lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution on customer service programs (e.g., Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours.
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring candidates, and ensuring ongoing training.
- Assist in the hiring process, completing recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
- Ensure telephone is answered in accordance with company policy.
- Process buy online/ship-to-store, hub-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases per procedure.
- Process customer returns and exchanges, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages, oversee Image Maker and merchandising tasks, and delegate as assigned.
- Enforce company policies regarding posted work schedules, approved deviations, and clock-in/out compliance.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, and ensuring building security.
- Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Sales Specialist Training.
- Assistant Manager Certification.
- RSS Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
- Certified Parts Professional Certification.
- ASE Certification.
