Position Summary

Sam’s Club #4745 at 9601 Grant St, Thornton, CO  is looking for a dedicated Meat Associate to join our meat team. In this role you will make critical decisions about the quality, packaging, and display of meat products, while delivering outstanding customer service on the front lines of the club.

• Collaborate with teammates to build a high‑performing meat team and be willing to support other areas as needed.
• Demonstrate in‑store and back‑room expertise in product safety, sanitation, inventory management, and equipment operation.
• Prepare, cut, grind, wrap, and trim meat products according to established standards while maintaining quality and safety.
• Utilize handheld technology to make sales decisions and track product status.
• Ensure work areas and products comply with company policies, date‑control standards, and packaging guidelines.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions and promote high‑value merchandise while minimizing waste.
• Report progress, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to changing priorities.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer‑service skills and a positive attitude.

• Prior experience in a meat department or food‑service environment.
• Knowledge of sanitation guidelines and basic inventory management.
• Experience with handheld electronic point‑of‑sale devices.

• Hourly wage range: $21.00 – $29.00 plus performance incentives.
