Job DescriptionAllied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer. The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. You’ll use our exclusive shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.
The position may require working irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.
Location:
Thornton, CO (prescreen to see if you qualify). Hours and schedule may vary by site.
Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour
Job Schedule: Part time:
Sunday . Full time:
Monday-Wednesday (Main hospital);
Saturday-Sunday at FSED.
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. - Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
This role is suitable for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to progress toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, with de-escalation and reporting details to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters; note unusual activity or conditions requiring attention.
- Monitor access points and deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare setting.
- Document observations, incidents, and policy-related concerns, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and first responders as needed.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
- Willingness to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Willing and able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws;
