The Telecom Field Technician will be based in our Colorado market and will provide on‑site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment. The role requires promptness, reliability, superior support skills, excellent communication, and a demonstrated history of high client satisfaction. Currently hiring for two open positions.
Responsibilities- All network field activity on the Vero Broadband network.
- Install and test new customer services in residential or business locations.
- Perform fiber splicing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and issues.
- Complete job responsibilities outdoors in varying weather conditions (e.g., extreme cold, heat, inclement weather).
- Climb and work at elevations exceeding 18 feet using ladders or lift trucks.
- Read and interpret network diagrams and detailed instructions.
- Operate a company vehicle in accordance with safe driving practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Technical Support, and Service Delivery to complete installations and service calls.

- Experience installing and handling various fiber optic cable types including single mode and multimode.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces when necessary.
- Attention to detail and adherence to established standards.

- Availability to work flexible long hours based on project requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry a ladder.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check and MVR screen.
- Two (2) years fiber optic and Cat 6 cable installation experience.
- Experience configuring wireless equipment such as Ubiquiti, Cambium, and Nokia.
Physical Requirements
- Extensive travel to various locations; schedules may be predictable or variable.
- Full‑time, non‑exempt staff position.
- Work schedule variable; may require night or weekend availability.
- Outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Stand, walk, and climb on uneven surfaces and ladders for extended periods.
- Lift and carry heavy equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and telehandlers.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel‑toed boots.
