Position: Recreation Assistant (Information, Ticket, & Travel)

About the position

This position will be assigned to Outdoor Recreation located on Peterson Space Force Base/ Space Base Delta
1. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and maintain a favorable Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;

if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

  • Progressively responsible experience in the travel industry is required, demonstrating practical knowledge of tour and travel industry rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures, and ability to plan and organize activities.
  • Experience in clerical or office work that includes cash handling, preparing reports, and maintaining accountability of records or inventory.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operations and proficiency in using Windows-based operating systems and office automation software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstration of good telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently.
  • Successfully complete a National Agency Check with inquiries (NACI).
