Position: Social Worker |

Make a real difference in the lives of high school students by bringing your expertise as a Social Worker to an engaging contract opportunity in the Thornton, CO area. This full-time, on-site position provides comprehensive mental health support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Start as soon as possible and continue through the school year, working 37.5 hours per week at one high school campus. You will work closely with students who have mild to moderate needs, Affective Needs, and require Significant Support, focusing on mental health services within their IEPs. The campus assignment and school will be confirmed soon, and there is flexibility for candidates with a background in either social work or school psychology.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License with Social Worker endorsement
  • Previous experience in school settings highly desirable
  • SPED (Special Education) background preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support students with varying service needs
  • Willingness to fulfill district credentialing and contract requirements prior to start date
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted mental health and social-emotional interventions for high school students on IEPs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and monitor individualized services
  • Document interventions, progress, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Support students’ academic and personal growth through advocacy and counseling
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
