A Full Time Gordon Food Service Box Truck Driver will present a positive image to customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of GFS products and serve as liaison between GFS management and customers. Must have safe work habits, working knowledge of box truck or refrigerated van, and ability to deal effectively with customers and the public.

• Ensure safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships.
• Accurately collect customer payments, safeguard company funds and follow GFS banking policies.
• Perform all Sales Service functions by the 90th day of employment.
• Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and report mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.
• Complete daily check-ins timely with no errors. Manage paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned either in store or driver related.

• Adhere to all safety/compliance regulations and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance wearing the GFS uniform.
• Demonstrate punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Work independently and also function in a team environment.
• Read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• Meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of product. Operate a two-wheeled hand truck with up to 350 pounds.
• Operate on-board computer and handheld scanner.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations.

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus one year previous driving experience and one year experience in customer service or related field.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DOT Physical before start date.
• Valid Unrestricted Driver's License (required).
• No drug or alcohol offenses in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
