Job Description:
- Prepares and enters journal entries
- Records and verifies cost of goods sold percentages, percentage of cost completion and cost type fee rates in support of month end close procedures
- Reviews ASC 606 checklist and works with the Contracts department to resolve any issues delaying revenue recognition determination
- Assists with review of monthly account reconciliations
- Reviews and approves employees expense reports
- Manages monthly reserve schedule, which includes inventory reserves, disallowance reserves, warranty reserves, environmental reserves, contract reserves, period costs reserves and bad debt reserves
- Interacts with internal and external auditors in support of SOX, Government Compliance, and other audits
- Prepares annual incurred cost proposal
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field with at least 10 years of accounting experience
- Experience with Government Accounting
- Experience using Deltek CostPoint, TM1, and One Stream a plus
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Understanding of GAAP and corporate guidelines
- Familiar with FAR and CAS regulations
