GL Accountant; m​/f​/d

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic GL Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves recording financial transactions, supporting month‑end and year‑end closing, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with the finance and order‑processing teams to meet deadlines.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage company credit card and receipt processing, and post payments in Net Suite.
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
• Support auditing and reconciliation tax processes.
• Prepare financial reports, including income statement, cash flow, and balance sheets.
• Collaborate with the order‑processing team to ensure orders are accurately managed and closed on time; verify Salesforce opportunities before processing orders and issuing invoices.
• Perform additional duties and ad‑hoc projects as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.

• Degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficiency with Net Suite, Salesforce, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with month‑end closing, tax filings (U.S. and Canadian sales tax reporting), and compliance.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and bookkeeping procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to remain poised under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
