Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic GL Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves assisting with financial transaction recording, supporting the month‑end closing process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and collaborating with the finance team to meet deadlines.
What You Will Do- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Work with the team on the month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage credit card and receipt processing, and post payments in Net Suite.
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Support the finance team with auditing, reconciliation, and tax processes.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statement, cash flow, and balance sheets.
- Collaborate with the order‑processing team to ensure orders are accurately managed and closed on time.
- Verify that opportunities in Salesforce are accurate before processing orders and issuing invoices.
- Perform additional duties and ad‑hoc projects as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting and sales software (Net Suite and Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with month‑end closing.
- Experience with tax filings, including US and Canadian sales tax reporting and compliance.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and bookkeeping procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to stay poised and polished under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams with excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
US $75,000–85,000annually. Salaries are based on candidate criteria including experience, skillset, education, and location.
