We are looking for a motivated, resourceful and organized Office Manager to join our team.
How you will add value to 20BLOC
The Office Manager manages the office environment as well as general operations including contracts, accounts payable, internal control and office administration. Good interpersonal skills, proficiency in working with contracts and numbers, attention to details, and ability to anticipate team members’ needs and respond proactively are good qualities to have. This position reports to the COO.
Day to day responsibilities- Take ownership of an organized and positive working office environment.
- Coordinate and communicate with management and scientists to execute office related projects as needed
- Manage procurement and payment systems and resolve issues with vendors and partners
- Liaise with our scientific advisors, city officials, permit departments and authorities
- Organize company events and plan travels for visitors and executives
- Lead relocation of the office of our current site to our new cGMP site along with our lab manager and facility manager
- Chair our Monday weekly kick-off meetings for the whole team
- Support our HR consultant and IT experts
- Manage employee expense claims and reports
- Review contracts, presentations, and consultants’ bills (require some understanding of contracts, presentations and communication, and numbers/excels)
- Use web interface to update our career page and website with our website designing firm’s guidance
- Research, trouble shoot and resolve office and operational issues
- Perform from time to time necessary but mundane tasks such as copying, printing, faxing, binding, shipping, etc.).
- Help drive and develop a positive and forward-looking company culture
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, history, anthropology, psychology, design, and any other fields related with understanding and working with people and organization tasks
- 3 – 7 years of administrative experience
- MS Office skills, language skills and IT savviness are required.

Office Manager
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Thousand Oaks, CA, and requires working on-site Monday through Friday. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We are not sponsoring employment visas.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $75,000.00. to $95,000.00 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including, without limitation, individual education, experience, tenure, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data, including potential adjustments for geographic location.
