Requirements:

Valid California Single Subject PE credential or PE Authorization granted by the CTC.

Description:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned physical education instruction for all TK–5 students. Provide one 30-minute physical education lesson per class each week that is developmentally appropriate, age- and grade-level aligned, and designed to build fundamental movement skills, physical fitness, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Prepare, organize, inspect, and maintain physical education equipment and instructional spaces to ensure a safe learning environment. Follow district safety procedures and respond appropriately to student health and safety needs during instruction.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support school-wide wellness initiatives, special events, and programs that promote physical activity. Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, and other duties related to the physical education program as assigned.

This is a part time exempt employee position (8 hours/week).
