This position reports to the adult education principal/supervisor or designee of the school/office to which the employee is assigned for administrative direction.

• Serve as a teacher for adult school diploma programs:
  Adult students earning their adult school diploma through Conejo Valley Unified School District, Assist with progress and productivity in completing courses, attendance, and discipline
• Maintain pertinent documentation and records.
• Organize, oversee, and provide instruction in various self-study courses and provide remediation and practice testing for diploma students.
• Develop and write new courses as needed.
• Evaluate classes for the purpose of improvement and/or modification in instruction. Teach multiple subjects and single subjects in a structured classroom.

• Performs other duties as assigned

Clear Multiple Subject or Secondary Teaching Credential. Competency in Algebra 1 required. Adept in high school science, social studies, and English. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of APEX computer systems preferred. Classroom teaching experience, high school preferred. Experience with, and understanding of, alternative education programs, WASC, and curriculum development. Serve as a teacher for the adult school diploma program.

This is a part-time exempt position

• Monday through Thursday - flexible day & evening hours
• Friday - flexible day hours

Indoor, office setting

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; hearing and speaking to exchange information and make presentations; seeing to read and write reports; lifting light objects.

Physical and mental fitness to engage in teaching service as certified by a licensed physician and surgeon or medical officer pursuant to Education Code 44839 and evidence of freedom from active Tuberculosis pursuant to Education Code Section 49406.
