Teledyne Scientific Company (TSC) has an opening for part time (24 hours a week) summer intern position in the Optics group in the Integrated Solutions and Systems Division starting July 1, 2026 until September 15, 2026.

• Assist with electronics and firmware development for integration of electro-optic devices
  • Hardware components may include positioning (actuators and sensors), optical sources, modulators and detectors, cameras.
• Assist with design documentation and fabrication
• Assist with data collection
• Support laboratory testing

• Basic electronics skills
• Strong software skills
• Experience with Linux, Unix, Windows
• Understanding hardware and user interface needs for integrated systems
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Good communication skills and inquisitive mind

3rd or 4th year of bachelors degree (BS) is physics, electrical engineering or computer science.

Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

$50,600.00-$67,500.00

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
