Our Thousand Oaks office in the California Division is a well-respected group of experienced environmental professionals where career development, training, and mentoring co-exist with diverse environmental, water resources and stormwater projects in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. We are seeking a talented Staff Engineer to support our environmental teams in the SoCal. The selected candidate will provide support on projects and will be responsible for performing field and office duties for projects with varying degrees of complexity.

• Support soil and groundwater remediation projects.
• Oversee field operations and maintenance (O&M) of remediation systems including groundwater and soil vapor extraction.
• Perform collection of soil, water, and air samples for O&M purposes.
• Assist with project engineering design.
• Oversee field work to ensure work is done in accordance with work plans and other plans and specifications.
• Work with construction staff in support of the installation of remediation systems.
• Provide support and oversight of field technicians related to O&M.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret O&M data.
• Write technical reports.
• Review laboratory analytical data related to remediation system operation.
• Support with permitting and ensuring compliance of remediation system operation.
• Actively develop your own career growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field.
• EIT certification preferred.
• HAZWOPER certification a plus.
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong technical communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in the field.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and understanding of safe work practices.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass strict security background checks required for military/federal projects.
• Ability to pass required medical evaluation and drug screening.

Annual Expected Pay Range: $70,000—$85,000 USD
