Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
The Manufacturing Engineer evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
General Responsibilities- Leads the implementation and maintenance of methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
- Collaborates with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
- Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
- Leads records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant
- Leads the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Work closely with continuous improvement teams to plan and oversee ongoing transformation projects.
