Senior Data Scientist - Thousand Oaks, CA

Overview

The following position is available to Veterans, transitioning military personnel, National Guard and Reserve Members, military spouses, wounded warriors, and their caregivers. The role is on-site at the location detailed in the job post unless stated otherwise.

• Lead the development of data science, machine learning prototypes, proof of concepts, and models for testing various omnichannel strategies.
• Lead measurement and tracking of omnichannel CX enablement initiatives.
• Extract, clean, pre-process, and analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to uncover insights that drive engagement and key metrics.
• Craft and deploy a framework to supervise the performance of campaigns and tactics at a granular level.
• Develop, prototype, and deploy predictive models using ML, deep learning, and Generative AI NLP techniques; architect data science frameworks for use cases such as Next Best Action Recommendation and other recommender systems to optimize omnichannel strategies.
• Measure the impact of cross-channel campaigns and the overall omnichannel program.
• Identify business needs and propose analytics approaches for solutions.
• Communicate analysis ideas, progress, and results to leadership and business partners regarding omnichannel initiatives.
• Utilize big data frameworks like Spark, SQL, Python for distributed computing and scalable data processing.
• Work on large-scale data architectures and leverage AWS cloud platforms to build ETL pipelines for data science experiments. May telecommute.

• Minimum education:
  
  High School / GED.
• Additional qualifications:
  
  Master’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or related field with 2 years of experience, including:
  • Campaign measurement, marketing analytics, and resource optimization.
  • Programming experience with Python, R, or SAS.
  • Working with large datasets.
  • Distributed computing tools including Spark.
  • Data science in Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Data wrangling and analysis using Python, R, or SQL.
