The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking an experienced Enterprise Solutions Architect to lead enterprise technology modernization, systems integration, automation, analytics, and solution architecture efforts across the organization. This role serves as a senior technical advisor and cross-functional partner, working closely with executive leadership, departments, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align technology solutions with operational needs and Citywide priorities. The position plays a key role in improving enterprise interoperability, streamlining business processes, supporting digital transformation, and helping departments make better use of data and technology.

- Lead and support high-impact enterprise technology initiatives across multiple departments
- Translate complex technical needs into practical, scalable solutions
- Support systems integration, automation, data services, analytics, reporting, APIs, ERP systems, and cloud-based solutions
- Partner with leadership, vendors, and stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and modernization efforts
- Help shape technology solutions that support the City’s long-term digital transformation goals
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and strategic technology professional who can bridge business needs, technology solutions, and business value with strong experience in enterprise applications, systems analysis, integrations, automation, analytics, and solution architecture. They should be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Successful candidates will bring experience with areas such as:
- Enterprise applications, ERP systems, databases, APIs, and cloud technologies
- Systems integration, interoperability, automation, and data exchange
- Analytics, reporting platforms, and operational visibility tools
- Business process analysis and workflow improvement
- Vendor coordination, implementation support, and project leadership
- SQL, Python, JavaScript, APIs, scripting, or related tools
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities may qualify. A typical background includes:
EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
ExperienceFour years of progressively responsible professional experience supporting enterprise applications, systems analysis, integrations, interoperability initiatives, solution architecture, ERP systems, modernization initiatives, or related technology functions.
Experience leading complex cross-functional technology initiatives and working with executive leadership, departments, vendors, and stakeholders is highly desirable.
