This role involves evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. Technicians may work in store Tool Rental Centers or in repair centers. They may service store customers in Tool Rental, which includes writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, verifying tool operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed. Technicians are also responsible for day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department and, in non-store locations, ensuring units are repaired, tested for repair quality, and cleaned prior to returning to the originating store.

A thorough knowledge of tools and effective inventory management are required.

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices.
• Provide equipment recommendations and ensure that units are maintained.
• Serve store customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, check tool operation, and demonstrate proper use as needed.
• Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department.
• In non-store locations, ensure units are repaired, tested for quality of repair, and cleaned before returning to the originating store.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage tool inventory.
