Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) serves as a key member of the Cardiac Cath Lab Services leadership team. The CNC manages patient‑centered care coordination within the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to Los Robles’ vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

The CNC is responsible for:

  • Supervising personnel providing direct patient care and delegating activities based on patient care needs and exercising judgement regarding patient care assignments using established policies and procedures and assessing competencies of available staff.
  • Supporting the achievement of internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
  • Performing Nurse Leader Rounding.
  • Providing recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Recommending and implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel‑policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively superior organization.
  • Assisting with staff scheduling. Managing all practical aspects of staff labor, including administration of time and attendance within Kronos, in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Qualifications
  • RN California license in good standing
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum two years of Cardiac Cath Lab Services experience required
  • Leadership or management experience preferred
