Unifeye Vision Partners is currently hiring for a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant
, Thousand Oaks, CA
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, and goal-directed care to surgical patients and their families throughout the immediate pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative periods. This role supports all aspects of the surgery center’s operations to ensure safe and efficient patient throughput.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Provide compassionate and individualized care to surgical patients and their families.
- Assist in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
- Support surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient flow.
- Perform stocking, cleaning, and administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all center policies and procedures.
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients; responds to emergency situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
- Participates in training of personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to provide direct patient care in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative settings
- Ability to assist nursing staff with patient positioning, transport, and comfort measures
- Ability to follow clinical instructions, safety protocols, and infection-control procedures
- Ability to respond appropriately to patient needs and changes in condition
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a clinical or surgical setting preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS are required.
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
