Care of the high-risk antepartum patient, including Gestational Hypertension and Gestational Diabetes Knowledge of Obstetrical Emergencies, including Ob Hemorrhage Care of the newborn within the first hour of life, including Breastfeeding and initial latch
Description:
The unit has 9 Labor Delivery Recovery rooms and 4 additional beds for triage and outpatient testing.
The staff comprises a Clinical Nurse Coordinator or Charge RN, 4-5 RNs, a Meal Break RN, an Ob Tech, and a Unit Assistant on day shift.
Patient ratios typically range from 1:1 to 1:3.Required equipment includes hospital beds, GE Novii, wired fetal monitors, and OR equipment.
Typical procedures performed include Labor and Delivery Management, outpatient testing such as NST, CST, BPP, OB Triage, and cervical cerclage.
Candidates must demonstrate a flexible and adaptable work style, positive attitude, and ability to collaborate effectively with others.
