Entry Level Associate – Protein Chemistry
Location:
Thousand Oaks, CA. This is an onsite position, 5 days per week, approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Terms:
Contract W2, 12‑month contract with possible extension.
Company is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Protein Therapeutics (PT) – Protein Chemistry team. The team is multidisciplinary with capabilities in protein engineering, expression, purification, and characterization. The role supports the purification, analysis, and characterization of large‑molecule therapeutic drug candidates.
Responsibilities- Perform protein purification, analytics, and characterization of large molecules.
- Organize, analyze, and report findings to support lead candidate selection.
- Partner with Project, Analytics, and Automation teams to advance the pipeline.
- Degree in a relevant scientific field (Life Sciences preferred).
- Background in Chemistry. No professional industry experience required.
- Academic research experience during college is acceptable and desirable.
- Experience with protein purification or related techniques.
- Laboratory experience conducting experiments and research while pursuing a degree.
- Familiarity with protein purification techniques, instrumentation, and related laboratory workflows.
- Up to ~1 year of post‑graduate industry experience is acceptable.
- Experience with protein purification, analytics fundamentals, techniques, instrumentation, and software.
- Proficiency with biological molecule purification and related software tools.
