SummaryWe are seeking a quicker learner and detail-oriented, team-focused Process Development Associate to support the ATO Rapid Analytics (RA) group within Process Development. In a fast-paced, highly matrixed laboratory environment, this individual will perform product quality analyses and generate high-quality analytical data to meet project timelines and enable process decisions. The role partners closely with scientists and stakeholders across multiple sites and functional areas.
Responsibilities- Analytical Testing:
Execute analytical tests within expected turnaround times, following approved methods and data integrity practices, using assays such as Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), Titer, Cation Exchange Chromatography (CEX), Reduced Capillary Electrophoresis (rCE‑SDS), Non‑Reduced Capillary Electrophoresis (nrCE‑SDS), Capillary Ion Electrophoresis Focusing (cIEF), ATOLL. - Compliance and Documentation:
Adhere to turnaround times and required metrics for high throughput samples. Document and review results in electronic laboratory notebooks in a timely manner. Author, review, and verify technical documents and reports. - Logistics and Planning:
Manage logistics tasks including sample receiving and equipment maintenance. Monitor the safety and compliance status of the ATO RA lab. - Collaboration and Communication:
Work with the development team to implement methods, analyze data, and interpret results. Provide technical input and generate written reports as needed. Communicate project updates effectively. Present scientific data in meetings. - Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Maintain lab instruments and follow equipment cleaning protocols. Solve technical problems related to instruments and assays.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 0‑2 years of relevant laboratory experience (industry, academic, or internship).
- Understanding with some hands‑on experience with chromatographic and/or electrophoretic techniques is a bonus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written procedures, maintain accurate records, and work safely in a laboratory environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timelines.
- Good understanding of liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis, with strong hands‑on technical skills to address challenging technical issues.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret analytical results.
- Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn new technology quickly, multitask, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Possess a positive attitude and strong self‑motivation.
- Work involves handling biological samples and operating analytical instrumentation.
- Documentation is maintained in electronic systems (e.g., electronic laboratory notebook); accuracy and data integrity are essential.
- May require flexibility to support project timelines (e.g., occasional schedule adjustments).
- On‑site laboratory role; adherence to safety training, PPE, and site procedures is required.

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $22.00 - $23.50/hour. Non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
