The ideal candidate is a hands-on analytical scientist with strong HPLC and small-molecule pharmaceutical experience. This role requires a solid foundation in analytical method development and testing, with the ability to quickly contribute in a lab environment. The successful candidate will be able to clearly communicate technical work, think through scientific problems, and work effectively within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
- With minimal supervision, plan, conduct, or monitor experiments, record and organize data, analyze results, and generate robust and reliable data
- Ensure that contracted studies are conducted in compliance with the respective protocol and applicable guidelines and regulations
- Follow established experimental design and protocols and perform routine tasks and studies to obtain reproducible and reliable results
- Effectively transfer experimental methods from literature to the lab and make modifications as necessary
- Develop and implement new protocols with moderate review
- Engage coworkers in scientific discussions and communicate data and interpretation to the work group
- Effectively troubleshoot equipment and experimental difficulties
- Contribute to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, and regulatory documents
- Analytical method development and testing for synthetic/small molecule drug substance and drug product
- Doctorate degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) and 2 years of experience OR Master's degree and 5 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience
- Technical capabilities with UHPLC, Karl Fisher, and Dissolution method development and execution
- Hands-on analytical chemistry experience with meaningful HPLC experience
- Experience in a pharmaceutical analytical development environment
- Skilled in the use of standard laboratory equipment and with one or more major laboratory instruments/techniques
