• In this vital role you will be part of the BEAM group providing scientific and technical expertise to support early discovery research through to later stage molecule optimization and late-stage selection of company’s pipeline of drug candidates.
• This position is an exciting opportunity to unlock the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing, and delivering innovative human therapeutics.
• Experience using analytical characterization techniques such as RPLC-MS for intact protein, reduced and subunit protein mass analysis. Experience using high-throughput MS like Rapidfire-MS is a plus.
• Experience with protein digestion and RPLC-MS/MS to map protein sequence and characterize post translational modifications such as deamidation, isomerization and oxidation and associated data processing would be a plus.
• Experience generating, processing and using large LC-MS analytical data sets
• Experience with both ESI and MALDI techniques would be useful
• Communicate (verbal and in written) scientific concepts and results
• Work independently in advancing projects and studies within required deadlines
• Follow protocols and procedures, maintain accurate records in an electronic lab notebook

• Master or PhD level qualification with an emphasis in mass spectrometric analytical characterization.
• Knowledge of multiple mass spectrometric (Mass Hunter, XCalibur, Mass Lynx) chromatographic (Chem Station, Chromeleon) control software is preferred. Knowledge of Gene Data Expressionist data processing software is a plus.
• Knowledge of statistical processing of data, including related software such as, but not limited to Excel, Spotfire or JMP is preferred

• PHD or Masters degree with 2 YOE
• Liquid chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Protease digestion, intact protein analysis, peptide mapping
• Knowledge of multiple mass spectrometric (Mass Hunter, XCalibur, Mass Lynx) chromatographic (Chem Station, Chromeleon) control software is preferred. Knowledge of Gene Data Expressionist data processing software is a plus.
