* ** What you will do*
* Let's do this. Let's change the world. Amgen is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Protein Therapeutics (PT) - Protein Chemistry team. PT is a multidisciplinary team with broad capabilities in protein engineering, expression, purification, and characterization. We are responsible for the engineering, production, assessment, and final selection of large molecule drug candidates that advance to Process Development.

In this role, you will support the purification of large molecule, therapeutic drug candidates, many of which are complex biologics.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Purifying novel and complex molecules that will be the next generation of large molecule therapeutics.

+ Contributing to theexecutionof ourprotein purification and analyticscapabilities.

+ Organizing, analyzing, and reportingfindingsto support lead candidateselection.

+ Partnering with Project, Analytics and Automation teams to advance our pipeline.

* Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in life sciences.

OR

Associate's degree and 4 years of relevant scientific experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of protein purification, and/or protein analytics experience.

* + Demonstrated strong communication skills,ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

+ Demonstrated track recordof independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving.

+ Experiencewithprotein purification, chromatography resins,instrumentation,and software.

+ Familiarity with protein analytics fundamentals and techniques.

+ Familiarity with handling and analyzinglarge datasets.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
