SignShop Maintenance Technician - JLL What this job involves:
The Sign Shop Maintenance Technician is responsible for the production, installation, and maintenance of various types of signage and graphics. This role requires technical skills in operating sign-making equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What your day-to-day will look like:- Operate and maintain sign production equipment including large format printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and other specialized machinery.
- Produce high-quality signs, banners decals, and other graphic products according to specifications and customer requirements.
- Prepare substrates and materials for printing and application, ensuring proper surface preparation and material selection.
- Install signage at various locations, including interior and exterior installations, requiring work at heights and use of ladders or lifts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret work orders, design files, and technical specifications to complete projects accurately.
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies, alerting management when stock levels are low.
- Ensure quality control throughout the production process, inspecting finished products for defects or errors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and customers to ensure project requirements are met.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of various sign materials, substrates, and adhesives.
- Ability to read and understand design files and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work at heights using ladders or lifts.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- This position involves working in a production shop environment with exposure to various materials, adhesives, and equipment noise.
- Work may require standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and working in various weather conditions during installations.
- Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to meet project deadlines or installation schedules.

Estimated compensation for this position:70,720. USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
