The Sign Shop Maintenance Technician is responsible for the production, installation, and maintenance of various types of signage and graphics. This role requires technical skills in operating sign-making equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Operate and maintain sign production equipment including large format printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and other specialized machinery.
• Produce high-quality signs, banners decals, and other graphic products according to specifications and customer requirements.
• Prepare substrates and materials for printing and application, ensuring proper surface preparation and material selection.
• Install signage at various locations, including interior and exterior installations, requiring work at heights and use of ladders or lifts.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret work orders, design files, and technical specifications to complete projects accurately.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies, alerting management when stock levels are low.
• Ensure quality control throughout the production process, inspecting finished products for defects or errors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and customers to ensure project requirements are met.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of various sign materials, substrates, and adhesives.
• Ability to read and understand design files and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work at heights using ladders or lifts.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• This position involves working in a production shop environment with exposure to various materials, adhesives, and equipment noise.
• Work may require standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and working in various weather conditions during installations.
• Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to meet project deadlines or installation schedules.
