Job Description & How to Apply Below
At Wyloo, we believe in a future that is truly sustainable – where technology unlocks new horizons and green energy preserves our planet for every generation to come. We are committed to enabling a safe supply of high-grade critical materials from extraction to processing, using the highest standards of environmental sustainability that make our operations the benchmark for mines of the future.

Through our partnerships with local and First Nation communities, we ensure our success means progress for everyone. We have assets in Australia, mining projects in Canada, and a strong growth pipeline with exploration across both countries.

In Canada, Wyloo is advancing its flagship Eagle’s Nest Project in the Ring of Fire region of northern Ontario, one of the best, undeveloped high-grade nickel, copper and platinum group element deposits in the world. Our Ring of Fire portfolio also includes world-class chromite deposits. In addition, we are evaluating the potential development of a downstream battery materials facility in City of Greater Sudbury.

Wyloo’s Canadian projects are supported by offices in Toronto and Thunder Bay.

Your opportunity at Wyloo
Our Project Geologist will join the team advancing Wyloo's Eagle’s Nest Project, reporting to the Director, Geology you will play a hands-on role in exploration programs that shape how these deposits are understood, tested and advanced.

Your work will span across the exploration program, from planning and target generation through to drilling, logging, sampling, interpretation and reporting. You’ll spend time in the field and at drill sites, log diamond drill core, coordinate with contractors and field crews and bring geological, geochemical and geophysical datasets together to support targeting decisions and 3D modelling. You’ll also help maintain the quality, integrity and useability of the data that underpins every technical decision the team makes.

Based out of Thunder Bay and working on a 15 days on, 13 days off fly-in fly-out roster to our Esker Site, you will work closely with a small, capable team and a range of external partners, consultants and contractors. It’s a role for someone who enjoys balancing technical depth with field practicality, and who takes real pride in doing careful, considered geological work.

Why this role matters
The Ring of Fire is one of the most significant undeveloped critical minerals regions in the world and the geology team's work directly shapes how our understanding of these deposits evolves. The care, judgement and technical rigour you bring to core logging, data collection and interpretation flow through to every decision made about exploration, evaluation and future development.

What you’ll bring to Wyloo
You bring 3-5 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, project geology or mine geology, together with a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, Earth Sciences or a related geoscience discipline. Registration, eligibility for registration, or progress toward registration as a Professional Geoscientist is preferred. Your background covers field exploration, drill core logging, geochemical sampling and the QA/QC and data validation practices that keep a geological dataset trustworthy, and you’re comfortable interpreting geological, structural and drilling data to support target generation, drill planning and 3D modelling.

You have hands-on familiarity with tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Leapfrog, ioGAS, ac Quire or MX Deposit.

You’re technically curious and field-oriented, with strong observational skills and a disciplined approach to data collection. You take ownership of your work, know when to escalate and communicate clearly with other geologists, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders. You’re comfortable working safely in remote field environments and approach your role with a genuine commitment to safety, environmental stewardship and respectful engagement with the communities and partners we work alongside.
