Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.
OverviewWe are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Dubreuilville, ON. This rotational position supports Alamos Magino Mine near Dubreuilville, Ontario. Rotation is 7 days on, 7 days off – but subject to change to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance and repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Keep up with ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
- Perform engine overhauls unassisted
- Have detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Be proficient with engine diagnostic software
- Mining experience preferred
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Basic level field service work experience
- Intermediate level knowledge and/or experience with engine products
- Customer service experience
May be subject to drug and alcohol testing. Requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report free from major violations. Apprenticeship documentation and certification will be required prior to hire.
Education, Licenses, Certifications- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary by location and may include our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits. Relocation package available.
