Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment to support construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, and loaders to perform tasks including digging, building, and moving materials as well as snow plowing.
- Conduct pre‑operation inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery on job sites.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, quality control, and environmental regulations.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred, including proficiency in bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, and loaders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- A valid commercial driving license is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with construction work.
- A commitment to safety practices and the ability to recognize potential hazards on job sites.
Full‑time
Pay$26.00‑$35.00 per hour
Expected Hours40.0 – 60.0 per week
