SOUTHLAND is currently offering a $5,000 hiring bonus for 310T Mechanics. You will receive half after 6 months and the remainder following 1 year of employment! Relocation assistance is available for candidates not local to the area.

The shift for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with overtime and weekends as needed. This position is also required to travel between Manitouwadge and Dorion, and occasionally Geraldton for remote service calls. Company vehicles are provided.

Wage: $46.00 - 48.00 per hour

• The Mechanic is responsible for servicing/repairing company buses in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
• Diagnose equipment problems
• Brake and Safety Inspections
• Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs
• Respond to breakdowns
• Spring and winter maintenance

• Licensed Mechanic – 310T
• Safety Inspection License
• Experience working with Fleet Management Systems is considered an asset
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Own hand tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Computer and diagnostic equipment skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong time management skills and well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
