Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician Ontario

Location: greenstone

Start your career as an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician at Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario. This rotational position allows you to learn from experienced technicians while working on heavy mining equipment.
At Greenstone Gold Mines LP, you will report to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, assisting in repairs, preventative maintenance, and overhauls of mining equipment. This role involves diagnosing problems, interpreting technical manuals, and completing job reports. You’ll also gain hands-on experience in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with equipment assemblies and maintenance as scheduled

• Diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment

• Suggest improvements for repair processes

• Interpret work orders and technical manuals

• Complete reports and adhere to safety rules
Requirements:

• Experience in an industrial setting; mine site experience is a plus

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to perform tasks at heights

• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance

• Enrolled in the Canadian Apprenticeship Program
